Setting Up Your First AI Chatbot

Watch this tutorial to learn how to set up and configure your AI chatbot in GoHighLevel:

Initial Setup​

Business Data Configuration​

  1. Access your dashboard
  2. Click on the default bot for your connected sub-account
  3. Navigate to the Business Data section
  4. Click "AI Generate" button
    • Bot automatically scrapes your sub-account's website
    • Generates business data automatically
  5. Review generated data
  6. Add additional web pages if needed

Booking Configuration​

  1. Go to the Bookings tab
  2. Enable booking feature
  3. Select your default calendar
  4. Save your booking settings

Objectives Configuration​

  1. Navigate to the Objectives section
  2. Review pre-listed default objectives:
    • Name
    • Email
  3. Activate additional objectives (optional):
    • Phone
    • Zip code
  4. Add any custom objectives as needed

Channel Integration​

Setting Up Facebook Messenger​

  1. Go to Lead Connector Integration tab
  2. Locate Facebook Messenger settings
  3. Change Facebook setting from "Off" to your configured bot
  4. Save all settings

Testing Your Integration​

Facebook Messenger Test​

  1. Send a message to your business page
    • Initial test before enabling: No response
    • After enabling: Bot responds automatically
  2. Bot will collect information based on objectives:
    • Name
    • Email
    • Phone (if enabled)
    • Zip code (if enabled)

Appointment Booking Test​

  1. Engage with booking flow
  2. Request availability
  3. View available time slots
  4. Select preferred time
  5. Confirm booking
  6. Options available:
    • Reschedule appointments
    • Cancel appointments

Verification Steps​

Chat History Review​

  1. Click "Test Chat" in upper left corner
  2. View saved chat sessions
  3. Review conversation details:
    • Completed objectives
    • Collected information
    • Appointment details
  4. Check objective completion status

  1. Verify contact database:
    • New contact creation
    • Correct information sync:
      • Name

  2. Check calendar:
